The Team
Legal - Our dynamic Legal team has an impact on all go-to-market aspects of the business.. The team is immersed in developing our next-generation licensing agreements, buying programs, and channel-partner programs to scale across Palo Alto Networks’ entire technology portfolio. You will work closely with Sales Operations, Revenue and Finance, Channel Operations, and Global Customer Service teams, knowing the ins and outs of our business to support it from a legal perspective. Job Summary
Join our Public Policy and Government Affairs team as a highly motivated Global Policy Analyst Intern. You will support Palo Alto Networks' engagement with governments globally by tracking and analyzing cybersecurity and technology policies. This role involves assisting in the execution of our advocacy strategy, developing messaging materials, and identifying key objectives. Your work will directly contribute to our strategic relationships and business opportunities in the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor global policy developments and assist in maintaining existing global policy and advocacy strategy trackers.
- Conduct baseline research and analysis on identified cybersecurity and technology policy priorities.
- Draft briefing memos, talking points, and executive-level updates for a variety of internal and external communications.
- Attend Congressional hearings, conferences, and meetings to maintain situational awareness of the global policy environment.
- Develop thought leadership materials, including responses to government public comments, letters, and blog posts.
- Collaborate with and support the entire Global Policy Team on both U.S. domestic and international issues.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master's or Doctorate degree program in Public Policy, International Relations, Law, or a related field, and returning to school in the fall.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or work experience related to cybersecurity and/or technology policy issues.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills with high attention to detail and quality.
- A strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to connect geopolitical and technology trends to company priorities.
- A highly collaborative team player with a willingness to take initiative.
