Summary
The Washington, DC office Willkie Farr & Gallagher is looking to hire Interns to be a part of our 2026 Summer Internship Program. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,300 lawyers located in 16 offices in six countries.
The Summer Intern will be placed in one of the administrative departments noted below based on interest and availability. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and maintain confidential information at all times. Additionally, candidates will have strong computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
This a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a law firm environment. Candidates should be willing to work 35 hours weekly starting June 2026 through August 2026 for 10 weeks. Dates to be announced once finalized. Position require in-office attendance based on business needs.

Responsibilities
- Support with several routine administrative tasks such as but not limited to:
- Type and assemble correspondences and other formal documents
- Schedule appointments for team meetings, trainings or Firm events
- Develop and maintain organized filing systems
- Create audits and enter data into computer files or database system
- Work on specific projects related to Compliance and Employment Policies.
- Assist the Legal Recruiting team with on-site events for upcoming Summer and Fall programs
- Provide exceptional administrative support to attorneys and staff while maintaining communication with attorneys, staff and manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be in the process of completing an associates, undergraduate degree or high school degree with a strong GPA
- Ability to work from June through August
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to have strong organizational and time management while maintaining a strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build interpersonal relationships
- Previous office experience a plus
ADA Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
- Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
- Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals
- Ability to carry light objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance
- Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 15lbs

Pay Range
USD $20.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.
Pay Range Statement
The salary range for this role represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location. This position is a part-time hourly role and benefits eligibility will be more limited. Candidates should direct questions about benefits to the hiring manager for clarification as needed.
