Intern – U.S. Federal Affairs Supply Chain, Worldwide Government Affairs & Policy
As a Johnson & Johnson intern you will contribute to high-impact meaningful projects that will not only further advance our company’s mission but will allow you to gain real world experience at one of the most innovative organizations in the world. You will also have opportunities to participate in special events including professional development and leadership presentations, and social/network building activities and local community volunteer programs.
Summer Internship Dates: June 1, 2026 – Jul 31, 2026. This is a 9-week program/ full time 40 hours/week in our Washington DC office. You must be available to work during this entire period.
Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Participate in the execution of US Federal Affairs and WW GA&P Supply Chain Operations and Risk (SCOR) team strategy and activities.
- Monitor legislative environment, with an emphasis on health care and manufacturing policy, and conduct research in support of GA&P goals and objectives
- Attend and compile summaries of congressional hearings, stakeholder engagements and/or events as requested
- Assist with projects, including conducting research and drafting presentations.
- Create and maintain communications materials for internal and external audiences, including coalitions and advocacy groups/trade associations.
- Assist with the preparation of leadership visits to Washington, DC, including compiling briefing books and background materials.
- Showcase your achievements and deliverables with a final presentation near the conclusion of your internship
- Daily responsibilities will vary depending on the congressional calendar and the needs of the Federal Affairs and SCOR teams.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5
- Authorized to work in the US and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., FI, H1-B status)
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited University or College program.
- Must be available to work full-time (40 hrs./week) for the entire duration of an 8-week internship between June and August
- Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrolled in a degree program with an interest in healthcare, international/government affairs, geopolitics, supply chain operations & risk
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion in the workplace
- Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with international or US health systems.
Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$23.00/hr to $51.50/hr
Additional Description For Pay Transparency
The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
