Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our dynamic legal team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for law students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a corporate legal environment. The Legal Intern will assist with a variety of tasks, including legal research, licensing compliance matters, drafting documents, mergers and acquisitions diligence, and supporting the team with ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Legal Research: Conduct research on various legal issues, including regulatory matters, case law, and industry-specific regulations.
- Licensing Compliance: Help coordinate professional licensing and registration applications for engineering and architectural practices.
- Document Drafting: Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, memoranda, and other legal documents under the supervision of senior legal staff.
- Mergers and Acquisitions Support: Assist with M&A due diligence, including data room review and summarizing findings under the supervision of legal staff.
- Compliance Support: Help ensure the company’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations by assisting in the review and update of internal policies and procedures.
- Case and Corporate Record Management: Assist in organizing and maintaining litigation case files and other corporate legal documents and records.
- Client Interaction: Participate in meetings with clients or other departments to understand legal needs and provide support.
- Administrative Duties: Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and managing calendars.
- Project Support: Contribute to special projects and other tasks as assigned by the legal team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background: Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor (JD) program or recent graduate from an accredited law school.
- Strong interest in corporate law, contract law, intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, or other relevant legal areas.
- Technical Skills: Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Adaptability: Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.
- Initiative: Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.

Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $20 - 24 USD per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
