Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Counsel, Elemica’s Legal Intern will work with the General Counsel and Legal Counsel on legal projects, specifically contract management and organizational processes. We’re looking for a diligent, creative, and strategic thinker.
What You’ll Do
Elemica is a fast-growing technology company and we want entrepreneurial thinkers who thrive in a challenging environment. When you come to work, you can expect to:
- Assist the General Counsel and Legal Counsel with day-to-day tasks
- Manage our contract management application and filing system
- Organize all existing agreements into one reliable repository
- Assist with updating corporate, legal, and HR forms
- Assist with the legal team’s electronic signature process and filing system
- Set up team meetings, take meeting notes
- Data entry
- Assist with legal notices and correspondence
What You'll Need
While we’re open to people that can prove us otherwise, we are looking for a motivated, organized rising 2L or 3L with an interest in law and expect you to at least have:
- Prominent communication and writing skills
- Self-driven and responsible work ethic with the initiative to work independently with limited supervision
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality
- Professional, outgoing, energetic personality with excellent interpersonal skills
- Technically savvy and demonstrate a high level of competency using Excel, Word, Sharepoint, etc.
- Experience using Excel, Word, and similar word processing programs
- Proven accountability and excellent interpersonal skills; the confidence to be an honest advocate who is willing to speak up when needed
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to get to the root cause of internal and external problems; ability to recommend resolutions
- Must respond to client requests with empathy, compassion, strategic advisement, and rapidity
- Desire to work with a collaborative global team with teams in the USA, Germany, UK, Netherlands, and India
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Currently pursuing Law Degree (formally enrolled student)
