Summer Associate Program
Summer Associates work closely with partners and senior attorneys, contributing to real client matters and participating in client meetings, strategy sessions, and internal firm discussions. The program offers meaningful exposure to both legal practice and business considerations that drive client decisions across multiple practice areas, including:
· Corporate & Business Law: business formation, governance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate counseling.
· Commercial Litigation: complex business disputes, shareholder and partnership conflicts, and contract litigation.
· Real Estate: commercial and residential transactions, development and financing of commercial real estate projects, commercial leasing, and land-use matters.
Over the course of the program Summer Associates will support attorneys in transactional and litigation matters across the firm’s practice areas by conducting legal research, drafting memoranda, and assisting in the preparation of contracts, corporate documents, and pleadings. Through this hands-on experience, Summer Associates at Lauletta will develop an understanding of how legal analysis intersects with business strategy and growth.
Candidate Profile
· Rising 3L
· Possesses strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
· Shows a clear interest in business law, corporate transactions, real estate, and/or commercial litigation, supported by relevant coursework or experience.
· Is entrepreneurial, adaptable, and collaborative, with a willingness to take initiative and work across multiple practice areas.
· Demonstrates professional maturity and a genuine interest in understanding clients’ businesses as well as their legal needs.
· Judicial internship, law review, or moot court experience is preferred.
Program Details and Application Materials
Duration: Full-time, 8–10 weeks beginning in June
Compensation: Competitive with regional market rates
