Description
The Response and Resolution team is seeking motivated and detail-oriented interns to join our Investigations team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in investigative processes, research methodologies, and case analysis within a dynamic and mission-driven agency.
Learning Objectives and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities
- Research and analytical support regarding parties/witnesses, entities, and incidents.
- Documentation and reporting, including, but not limited to: drafting interview summaries and timelines.
- Operational assistance to include confirming case file management.
- Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data relevant to ongoing investigations.
- Conduct open-source research and background checks using public records and databases.
- Support case documentation, including drafting summaries, timelines, and reports.
- Attend and take notes during team meetings.
- Help maintain case files and ensure proper documentation protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with investigators on special projects and case reviews.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all investigative activities
Requirements
- Internship will be for approximately 20 hours per week
- flexible schedule between 8am - 5pm MST
- Currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
Internship geared toward undergraduate students who have or will complete their junior year, by the time the internship begins, as well as graduate students pursuing a master's degree, J.D., or Ph.D.
