Welcome to the DNC Internship Application! The DNC is accepting applications for our Fall 2025 Internship Program!

Interning at the DNC is a unique opportunity for hardworking, passionate future leaders to gain real life, hands-on experience in Democratic politics, strengthen their understanding of the political process, and prepare them for future political opportunities.

The program will run from September 8, 2025 - November 14, 2025 and will be conducted in a hybrid format. Interns who are based in the Washington D.C. area will have an opportunity to perform in-person work for the DNC at the Democratic National Headquarters and DNC events. You must be located in the United States to apply for this internship.

The DNC Internship Program provides a stipend of $3,000. Housing is not provided. During the upcoming term, interns are expected to work 20 hours per week.

The deadline for applications is August 1, 2025.

Position Summary:

The DNC Legal team provides accurate and timely advice to the organization on a variety of legal topics relevant to a national party committee and its political activities. This includes advising on election and campaign finance matters, working on employment and labor issues, negotiating contracts, and providing training and presentations.

Internship Responsibilities/Duties:

Attend mandatory onboarding/offboarding sessions;
Draft organized and clear documents, including emails, legal memoranda, training materials, and presentations;
Conduct research and fact-finding on a variety of topics;
Work with the Legal team to develop appropriate internal policies and processes;
Attend internal and external meetings as needed;
Perform other legal and administrative duties as assigned
