Crawford & Boyle, LLC is looking for an efficient, organized legal assistant to help our attorneys assist our clients and ensure we’re operating efficiently. You’ll assist with the preparation of legal documents and handle all office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, scheduling client meetings, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines. Responsibilities:
Legal Assistant Position Responsibilities: • Work as a team with our legal staff in drafting pleadings, filing leave of absences and conflict letters, coordinating with the judge's staff, e-filing documents with the clerk, communicating with clients, and court personnel. • Work with other staff members in answering phones and providing overlapping coverage for other legal assistants. • Have a high school diploma and preferably 2 years of college, paralegal studies, or relevant work experience. Prior legal government or law office experience is preferred. • Knowledge of Georgia State, Superior, and Municipal Courts. • Experience with billing software, Clio, Gmail, Dropbox, Microsoft Word, and court e-filing systems, i.e., Peach Court, Odyssey, etc., is preferred. • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and accomplish tasks. • Valid driver’s license and own transportation required. • Spanish language ability is preferred, but not required. • Location is at our Lawrenceville Office. • In addition to applying through this listing, post a comment on the firm's Facebook profile that mentions a movie. • Position includes medical benefits and paid time off after 90 day probationary period. • Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm.
