We are currently looking for an intern interested in learning about Government Relations and Business Operations Intern to join our team in Alexandria, VA.
Responsibilities
We’re seeking a highly motivated undergraduate student with an interest in defense technology, politics, and public policy. Candidates local to Alexandria VA strongly desired.
- Assist in developing legislative strategies to assist growth and competition of government contractors supporting the Department of Defense
- Research legislation, published studies and articles related to the defense industrial base and defense industrial policy
- Review Federal Election Commission rules and policies
- Research proposed legislation related to key defense technologies
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a undergraduate program in Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, Government Policy or related fields
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Team player who can work independently and demonstrating initiative, ownership and problem solving skills
Desired Skills
- Understanding of the US political process and public administration
- Working skills in Microsoft office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain a US government security clearance.
