Responsibilities
This position is designed for a highly motivated student eager to strengthen their skill set and gain meaningful, hands-on experience. As an intern supporting Government Affairs, Global External Affairs, and Global Reimbursement, you will be responsible for:
- Joining weekly Government Relations team meetings and consultant calls
- Completing research projects for the GR team
- Shadowing lobbyists on Capitol Hill for congressional meetings, briefings, and fundraisers
- Supporting the SHS Political Action Committee (PAC) team with PAC organization, event planning, and drafting updates for PAC members
- Attending briefings hosted by trade associations
- Coordinating the Summer Coffee Chat series for the global function
- Updating the External Affairs SharePoint site as needed
- Completing research projects and presentations for the EA global leadership team
Skills

- Strong presentation and communication abilities, with confidence interacting across a matrixed organization.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail; strong problem‑solving skills are a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with tools such as SAP, Minitab, data analytics platforms, AI applications, KPIs, PowerBI, and QlikView; openness to learning new software and hardware solutions.
- Solid organizational and time‑management capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Required skills to have for the success of this role:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, majoring in Political Science, Business, Health Policy Management (HPM), Health Policy (rising senior preferred)
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
The Hourly Base Pay Range For This Position Is
$28.00 - $31.00

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is
$49,920 - $71,386
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
