Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented law student (1L or 2L) to join our Legal and Contracts Management team for the summer. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, with exposure to a broad range of legal and contract matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer-facing and vendor-facing commercial agreements and other legal documents.
- Contribute to legal operation projects/LegalOps
- Support corporate governance initiatives, including board resolutions, entity management, and policy updates.
- Conduct legal research and assist with compliance matters related to data privacy (including GDPR), and other regulatory frameworks.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with internal stakeholders in various departments (e.g., Business Development, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, PMO, PLM, Sales, IT, and Compliance).
- Help develop internal resources and templates to streamline legal operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Current 1L or 2L student at an ABA-accredited law school (must have completed at least 1 semester of law school).
- Strong interest in technology, telecommunications, and commercial transactions.
- Excellent research, writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent initiative and project management skills including prioritization and time management.
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work with people across different time zones and backgrounds.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
Additional Considerations
- Prior experience in a corporate or legal setting is a plus but not required.
- Prior experience with Salesforce or CLM knowledge.
- To be considered for the 2026 Summer Internship Program, a student who is accepted must be able to participate in the full 8–10-week program.
- The selected intern should plan to spend time working from home 3 days a week; Tuesdays and Thursdays shall be dedicated to working in the office (Herndon, VA) as part of our hybrid work environment.
