We are seeking a remote Law Clerk who has experience with construction defect cases, insurance defense and is able to assist in drafting and responding to discovery. You will also play a vital role in conducting legal research, reviewing documents, and assisting with various legal tasks that uphold the integrity of our firm. Your contributions will help ensure compliance, support litigation efforts, and enhance our firm's overall efficiency.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive legal research to support ongoing cases and legal inquiries
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing discovery and/or motions as needed.
Review and analyze documents for relevance, accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Support responsibilities such as organizing evidence and reviewing documents.
Collaborate with attorney regarding analyzing relevant data and relevant arguments.
Maintain organized records of legal research findings, case files, and legal documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
Support our firm with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or a recent law school graduate or paralegal experience.
Demonstrated experience with legal research tools such as LexisNexis, Westlaw or any other legal research software.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex legal information accurately.
Excellent writing skills for drafting clear, concise discovery requests and/or responses along with legal briefs as needed.
Prior paralegal experience or Law Clerk internship experience in a law firm setting with construction defect cases and insurance defense cases is highly desirable.
Proficient in document review with attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20.0 per week
