Overview Of Position
Are you a law student passionate about environmental impact and cutting-edge technology? Do you want hands-on experience supporting a mission-driven company that's leading the fight against methane emissions? Bridger Photonics is seeking a motivated law clerk to join our legal department and help advance our goal of reducing global methane emissions through innovative Gas Mapping LiDAR™ technology.
What You'll Do
- Support commercial contract negotiations and drafting for data sales agreements, NDAs, and collaboration arrangements
- Assist with board governance activities including meeting preparation, resolution drafting, and corporate record maintenance
- Help develop and implement legal department policies and procedures to support operational efficiency goals
- Support intellectual property protection efforts for our proprietary technology and branding
- Assist with due diligence activities for potential business development opportunities and strategic transactions
- Maintain legal databases and tracking systems to improve contract lifecycle management
- Draft internal legal guidance documents and policy frameworks
- Support international expansion legal requirements research and documentation

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in law school (rising 2L or 3L preferred)
- Strong interest in commercial transactions, corporate law, or environmental law
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with technology and willingness to learn new systems
- Alignment with Bridger's environmental mission and values
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience or coursework in contracts, corporate law, intellectual property, or environmental law
- Familiarity with legal tech tools, contract management systems, or project management software
- Experience with corporate governance or board support activities
- Background in technology or engineering fields

- This is a full-time summer position (June-August) based in Bozeman, Montana.
