Mission
The A-C Electric Company Internship Experience Program offers a hands-on, immersive learning opportunity for students interested in corporate law within the construction and electrical contracting industry. Over the course of this 10-week summer internship, you will work directly with in-house counsel and company leaders to gain insight into the legal, compliance, and contractual processes that support multimillion-dollar construction projects.
You’ll gain valuable experience in contract review, compliance documentation, corporate governance, and risk management, while developing professional skills through networking events, mentorship, and project work.
About You:

Desired Majors: Pre-Law, Legal Studies, or Political Science
Key Responsibilities:
Over the course of our 10-week internship experience you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist in reviewing and drafting contracts, subcontracts, and amendments
- Research applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements impacting the construction industry
- Support the management of corporate legal files, including contract databases, licensing records, and policy documents
- Help prepare documentation for corporate governance, including board meeting materials and compliance reports
- Review insurance certificates, bonding documents, and subcontractor agreements for accuracy and compliance
- Participate in Book Club assignments to build communication and leadership skills
- Contribute to a LEAN project focused on improving legal or compliance workflows, culminating in a formal presentation to company leaders
- Attend “Meet & Greets” and networking events with senior leaders and industry professionals
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Ability to work full-time for 10 weeks during Summer
- Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation on or before August 2027
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- We’re looking for students who have shown solid academic performance — at least a 3.0 GPA in upper-division courses for your major, or a 2.75 GPA overall.
- Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations.
- Strong technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research, or engineering internships.
- Exceptional communication skills, interest, and enthusiasm related to electrical engineering and/or construction.

Pay range: Pay Range: $16.00/hr. - $22.00/hr. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
