This growing division in Tampa handles a multi-faceted caseload consisting of civil litigation in the areas of insurance defense, such as general liability, bodily injury, slip and fall, first and third-party property, windshield litigation, and construction defect.

Duties:
· Compile, analyze, and organize information.
· Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney.
· Organize and track files from case documents and make them available and easily accessible to attorneys.
· Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling depositions; forwarding summonses and subpoenas; filing discovery requests.
· Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact, communicating case progress.
· Maintains case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and providers.
· Track hours and bill to clients.
· Enhances trial proceedings by organizing evidence; organizing exhibits; scheduling.
Preferred Requirements:
· Associate degree or equivalent work experience in a law firm setting
· Insurance defense and/or personal injury experience is a plus.
Needed Skills & abilities:
· Proficient with Microsoft office software; working knowledge of database systems
· Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
· Ability to multi-task, oversee multiple on-going projects and work independently
· Excellent customer service skills
· Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels with a professional demeanor
· Effectively work as a team member of the Legal Department
· Proficiency in written & verbal English
