Overview
This internship provides hands-on experience in physical security operations and compliance coordination within a regulated environment. The intern will assist in facility security monitoring, document management, and compliance related projects, while gaining exposure to industry standards such as ISO compliance and audit processes. This role supports both continuous improvement of compliance initiatives and security enforcement processes.
Responsibilities
Security Support
- Assist with daily building security checks (interior & exterior) and inspections
- Support auditing and report creation for security record keeping processes
- Monitor access control and surveillance systems under supervision
- Learn about emergency response procedures and vendor coordination
- Participate in auditing of recordkeeping for game play security testing for instant ticket products
Compliance & Audit Assistance
- Help manage controlled documents within SharePoint under mentorship from department leads
- Assist with database updates in QT9, Excel, and other compliance-related software
- Support compliance training coordination, including Security and ISO policies
- Maintain compliance records required for audit preparation and quality tracking
- Gain exposure to ISO audit procedures, including non-conformance report (NCR) tracking
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree or coursework in business, security, or compliance-related fields
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Prior coursework or experience in compliance, auditing, or security is a plus
Skills & Certifications
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Interest in learning physical security systems and compliance standards
- Previous exposure to ISO regulations or audits is beneficial but not required

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation is $19.00 per hour . The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
