Qureshi Law is a plaintiffs’ civil rights law firm, and we’re looking for a recent or soon-to-be college graduate or an experienced litigation assistant to join our team full-time. We represent people who have been harmed by governments, corporations, and institutions through discrimination, abuse, and injustice. Our cases include police brutality, employment discrimination, sexual abuse, and physical injury—often rooted in bias based on race, gender, disability, or age.
We are looking for a legal / litigation assistant who has either years of experience working in a civil rights, employment, or personal injury law firm or is a recent or soon to be college graduate.
The ideal experienced candidate can do the following:
- File lawsuits and motions in state and federal court;
- Find and gather police reports, employment records, and medical records;
- Establish meaningful relationships with clients and gather information to respond to requests for discovery;
- Work with private investigators to find information and serve defendants; and
- Schedule appointments with physicians, expert witnesses, and court.
The ideal recent or soon to be college graduate should have an excellent academic background and an interest in working in the law on behalf of individuals wronged by the government and companies.
