Job Title: Legal Intern
Status: Internship / Approximately 15 Hours Per Week
Reports to: SVP, Legal and People Operations (HR)
Location: Orlando, Florida (Corporate Headquarters)
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our Corporate Legal Department for an 8-week, part-time summer internship. This is an excellent opportunity for a law student or pre-law candidate to gain hands-on, practical experience in a fast-paced corporate legal environment within the telecommunications industry. The intern will work closely with our small but experienced legal team, consisting of an Executive Legal Leader, two in-house attorneys, and a corporate paralegal. Primary duties will be project-based and support ongoing initiatives involving contract lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, legal document review, and cross-functional collaboration with our People Operations (HR) department.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in the organization, categorization, and data entry of legal documents into the company’s new contract database.
- Review, draft, and revise a variety of legal agreements including customer contracts, vendor agreements, and independent contractor documents.
- Conduct legal research on federal, state, and industry-specific telecommunications regulations.
- Support the legal team in tracking regulatory and compliance deadlines and filings.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the legal team’s initiatives and communication efforts.
- Participate in internal audits and data validation efforts for contract and legal document accuracy.
- Shadow and assist in meetings and operational activities across the Legal and People Operations departments.
- Prepare legal memoranda or summaries on current legal issues affecting the business.
- Observe and contribute to ongoing internal training, policy updates, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor (JD) program or a pre-law undergraduate program with strong academic credentials.
- Preference is given to current law school students with intent to take the bar exam and pursue a legal career.
- Strong interest in corporate law, regulatory compliance, or the telecommunications industry.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office environment.

Internship Requirements
