Internship/Position Description:
The General Counsel's Office (GCO) is seeking a law student or recent law graduate to provide support and assistance with the Office's functions. As SEIA’s in-house counsel, the GCO provides legal support in a wide range of areas, including review and execution of contracts, legal operations, state and federal legislative and regulatory matters, consumer protection issues, and Board governance. The candidate selected for this position would work closely with GCO staff on a range of legal matters related to SEIA’s role as the national trade association for Solar and Storage.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Legal Research and Drafting
- Document review and issue spotting
- Support of CLM Implementation
- Participating in relevant committee calls and webinars

- Effective Problem Solver able to “Think outside the Box”
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Flexible and able to pivot effectively between multiple tasks
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Experience with Lexis, Westlaw, EQResearch and/or other research tools is a plus
Academic Majors: 2nd or 3rd Year Law Student Preferred. This position is specifically for Law Students or Law School Graduate
Compensation:

Working Conditions
- This position is 25-30 hours/week
- This internship is based in the Washington, DC office
- Interns MUST be in the office on designated team days (3 days a week) and specifically on Wednesdays for cohort touch base.
