Welcome to the Small Firm Jobs and Internship Database ("Platform"), designed by legal career services professionals to connect current, and aspiring, law students connect with legal employers across the country.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), forming a legally binding agreement between you and Hire Law. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
1. Accurate Information and Password Nondisclosure
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when using the site. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the site's password credentials and all activities that occur under your use of the Platform.
2. Firm Profile Listings
As a User, you may have the ability to post a firm profile listings on the Platform. You agree that all information you post will be accurate, lawful, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for the content of your listings and any consequences arising from posting inaccurate or misleading information.
3. Job Applications
As a User applying for jobs or internships identified through the Platform, Hire Law is not responsible for the hiring decisions of employers using the Platform. We do not guarantee the accuracy or authenticity of listings, and we encourage Users to exercise caution and conduct their own due diligence.
4. User Content
The Platform may allow you to post, submit, or upload content, about your firm. You retain ownership of your content, but by providing it to us, you grant Hire Law a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display this content in connection with the Platform's operation and promotion.
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Platform's functionality. You also agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Share, circulate, repost, copy, or republish content within the database.
- Use the Platform to post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Harass, intimidate, or threaten other Users or Hire Law personnel.
- Attempt to gain or support others unauthorized access to the Platform.
- Use automated means, including bots, spiders, or scrapers, to access the Platform or collect information on the Platform.
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
6. Modifications to the Platform
Hire Law reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time without prior notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict your access to parts or all of the Platform without liability or notice.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Hire Law, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives harmless from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, your User content, or your violation of these Terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HIRE LAW SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of North Carolina, without regard to its conflicts of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in North Carolina.
10. Changes to the Terms
Hire Law may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the "Effective Date" at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Platform after the revised Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
