We are currently looking for an intern interested in learning about Government Relations and Business Operations Intern to join our team in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

We’re seeking a highly motivated undergraduate student with an interest in defense technology, politics, and public policy. Candidates local to Alexandria VA strongly desired.

Assist in developing legislative strategies to assist growth and competition of government contractors supporting the Department of Defense
Research legislation, published studies and articles related to the defense industrial base and defense industrial policy
Review Federal Election Commission rules and policies
Research proposed legislation related to key defense technologies

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a undergraduate program in Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, Government Policy or related fields
Excellent communication skills written and verbal
Team player who can work independently and demonstrating initiative, ownership and problem solving skills

Desired Skills

Understanding of the US political process and public administration
Working skills in Microsoft office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain a US government security clearance.
