Position Summary:
As a member of the Legal Resource Center (LRC), the Legal Support Specialist I (LSS I) provides administrative support to attorneys firm wide. The LSS I works collaboratively and cooperatively with attorneys and other administrative personnel to deliver the highest level of service to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare legal correspondence, including printing, scanning and converting documents.
- Assist with preparing binders, making copies, and entering data.
- Monitor and pull dockets, as needed.
- Prepare and process documents for mailing.
- Ensure proper indexing and internal filing of legal documents in both electronic and paper form.
- Create and maintain original and electronic case files, including using the Firm’s document management system.
- Retrieve case files and prepare files for offsite storage or scanning in accordance with Information Governance procedures.
- Schedule appointments, events and travel.
- Monitor workflow of assigned tasks and projects, prioritizing incoming tasks to meet deadlines and coordinate with other support services to complete work.
- Submit expense reimbursements for attorneys and process invoices using correct g/l coding in accounts/payable system.
- Back-up reception coverage.
- Provide additional support, back-up and PTO coverage for LSS II Team.
- Other clerical tasks and related duties, as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred; Bachelor’s a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain poised and demonstrate composure and tact in stressful situations.
- Must exhibit a high degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-drive, detail-oriented work environment utilizing excellent judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Embrace technology and seek knowledge to improve efficiency and quality of work.
- Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Adobe, MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Knowledge of specific law firm programs a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Typing accuracy, ability to proofread with an attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills.
- Strong client service focus and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision, while functioning effectively as part of a team.
