A Day in the Life of a Legal Intern
Step into the dynamic world of corporate law as a Legal Intern, where no two days are the same. You'll work side by side with our General Counsel on a wide range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, litigation support, electronic discovery, liens, licensing, subcontracting, mergers and acquisitions, and legal training initiatives.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to impactful projects while collaborating cross-functionally with key departments such as Human Resources, Accounting, Sales, Operations, and Safety/Risk.
Our internship program is designed to immerse the right candidate in the real-world operations of a fast-paced corporate Legal department, providing exposure, mentorship, and the foundational experience necessary for a future career in law.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and editing commercial contracts
- Maintaining database of contractor and specialty licenses
- Providing litigation and legal support
- Managing and keeping current all compliance portals
- Managing business license applications and renewals
- Working across functional areas to support special contract compliance
- Acting as general administrative support for the General Counsel
Experience & Education
- Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctorate program at an accredited institution with completion of the first year
- Salesforce administration experience, preferred
- LevelSet (f/k/a Zlien) experience, preferred
- Legal Tracker experience, preferred
- Commercial contract and GSA contracting experience, preferred
