The Job
As a Law Clerk Intern, you’ll provide hands-on legal support to licensed attorneys, with a strong focus on litigation, labor, and employment law. This role is ideal for a motivated law student who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants real-world exposure to complex legal matters within a dynamic, fast-paced organization. You’ll contribute to legal research, drafting, and regulatory responses while supporting compliance with local, state, and federal laws—playing a meaningful role in advancing strategic legal initiatives across MGM Resorts International.
THE STARTING RATE: $28/hr
The Day-to-day
- Support licensed attorneys on litigation and labor & employment matters
- Conduct legal research and assist with interpretation of applicable laws and regulations
- Draft legal memoranda, contracts, policies, procedures, and other legal documents under attorney direction
- Assist with responses to complaints and claims filed with federal and/or state agencies (e.g., EEOC) and courts
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented legal environment
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required
- Currently enrolled as a Juris Doctor (JD) student at an accredited U.S. law school required with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong project orientation with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Sound judgment, decision-making, and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently while delivering exceptional service.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays preferred.
