THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Regulatory Food SafetySpecialist,you'llplay a role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our food products. This positionwillinvolvedirectly supporting our Regulatory Food Safety Programs.The ideal candidate willpossessstrong analytical skills, decisive decision-making abilities, and a commitment tomaintainingthe highest standards of food safety.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Provide direct support to the pest control program by reviewing service reports and providing escalation support to restaurant teams
- Assist with the routine day-to-day tasks for our 3rd party audit program.
- Support the regulatory Health Department compliance program by partnering with operations and assisting in the development in corrective action and follow-up.
- Assist the restaurant safety support team on crisis decision making from phone calls/emails received from the field restaurant teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Facilities, Operations, and Property Management, and Licensing teams, to problem solve and implement food safety initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Conduct proactive outreach and exception follow-up to support and maintain internal operational food safety standards and procedures.
- Maintain and upkeep internal food safety tools and resources
- Night and weekend schedule required
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Degree in Food Science, Business, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and an eagerness to learn about food safety and regulatory compliance in a real-world setting.
- Knowledge of food safety principles or interest in gaining hands-on experience in the industry.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft and Adobe software.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
Pay rate is $20 per hour, depending on skill level, experience, and/ oreducation. Compensation offered is also subject to local wage and hour laws.
