About This Opportunity
Role: Compliance and Risk Intern
Location: Hybrid – Atlanta, GA
Duration: May 18, 2026-August 7, 2026
As a Compliance and Risk Intern, you will work closely with compliance and risk managers to gain hands-on experience across key areas of the Enterprise Risk and Compliance departments. You’ll assist with projects and initiatives based on departmental needs, providing broad exposure to merchant oversight, marketing oversight, compliance advisory, licensing, compliance and risk testing automation, and regulatory partner compliance. This internship offers the opportunity to collaborate with team members across the organization and develop a well-rounded understanding of compliance functions within a financial technology company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assistance with application of artificial intelligence tools to create efficiency in reviews of marketing assets
- Support development of automated compliance testing
- Analyze findings from Enterprise Quality Control, issue management, and compliance testing to identify trends across the second line of defense
- Develop automated reporting tools for testing results and additional data analytics to support compliance program
- State licensing analytical and process impacts
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Ability to synthesize data and articulate a concise message regarding applicability and impact
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base hourly rate for this role is $20.00 per hour for students pursuing an undergraduate degree and $25.00 per hour for students pursuing a graduate degree.
