Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Settlement Intern to join our team. This internship provides a unique opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in real estate, title, and settlement services. The intern will assist the settlement team in assembling, preparing, and reviewing/verifying documents. This role will play an important part in ensuring our customers’ financing experience goes smoothly, a crucial piece of the process to further Keystone’s mission of “Building Dreams Together.”
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Closing Documents: Help prepare and review closing documents such as deeds, settlement statements, and title reports.
- File Management: Organize and maintain files related to real estate transactions, ensuring all required documents are complete and accurate.
- Data Entry: Input transaction details into settlement processing systems and databases accurately.
- Communication: Assist in communication with clients, team members, and other parties involved in the transaction to ensure that all required documents and information are received and processed.
- Research: Support the team with title searches and data verification to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies before settlement.
- Support Settlement Team: Provide general administrative support to the settlement team and assist with any additional tasks as needed to ensure a seamless closing process.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn about the real estate & settlement industry.
- Previous internship or experience in real estate or related fields is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with settlement and title processing software is a bonus.
