The Firm’s Burlingame, CA office is seeking a Law Clerk to join its Estate Planning and Estate Administration group for the summer of 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a law student interested in trusts, estates, and fiduciary law to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and collegial environment.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct Legal Research: Research statutes, case law, and regulations related to estate planning and trust administration. Prepare clear, concise research memoranda to support client strategies.
- Draft Estate Planning Documents: Assist attorneys in preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other key documents that form the foundation of a client’s estate plan.
- Draft Legal Correspondence and Pleadings: Help draft letters, petitions, and other filings related to trust and estate administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
- Case File Organization and Matter Support: Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and provide administrative support to attorneys to keep matters moving efficiently.
- Collaborating with Attorneys: Work closely with experienced estate planning professionals, gaining insight into client interactions and the practical application of legal concepts.
What You Will Need:
- Enrollment in Law School: Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited law school program.
- Strong Motivation and Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
