Our client a well known Financial Services Firm is seeking a Jr. Paralegal in their Dallas, Texas Location!
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Paralegal to join our legal and compliance team in Dallas. The ideal candidate will provide critical support in the preparation, review, and management of legal documents related to private investment funds, hedge funds, and private equity structures. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial services law, corporate governance, and fund operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation, organization, and maintenance of fund documentation, investor agreements, and regulatory filings.
- Support attorneys with due diligence, compliance reviews, and transaction closings.
- Draft and proofread correspondence, legal forms, and basic contracts under attorney supervision.
- Maintain document management systems, corporate records, and entity filings.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research related to securities law, investment fund compliance, and corporate governance.
- Coordinate with internal teams, investors, and outside counsel to track document execution and ensure timely submissions.
- Provide administrative support for board meetings, compliance updates, and other corporate governance activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience (internship experience in financial services or law firm preferred).
- Strong interest in financial services, investment management, and securities law.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with legal research tools (Lexis, Westlaw) a plus.
- Paralegal certification (completed or in progress) preferred
