Summary
Delta Star Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Legal/Vendor Compliance Intern to support our vendor compliance and risk mitigation efforts. This internship is a fantastic opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in insurance, law, or risk management to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and purpose-driven environment.
What You'll Do
Are you passionate about legal compliance, risk management, or insurance? In this role, you'll review and approve Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure vendors meet Delta Star's insurance requirements. You'll also assist in reviewing vendor contracts, helping to identify and mitigate potential risks to the company. You'll gain practical experience while supporting our Legal and Procurement teams on a variety of vendor-related initiatives.
A Day in the Life
Each day brings new learning opportunities. You'll review Certificates of Insurance from vendors, ensuring they meet our compliance requirements and learning how risk is managed in a real business setting. You'll help maintain accurate records, communicate with internal teams and vendors, and gain insight into the contract review process. With guidance from experienced professionals, you'll build a strong foundation in legal and risk management practices, all while supporting Delta Star's commitment to safe and reliable vendor partnerships.

Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Legal Studies, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to interpret insurance documents and legal language (training provided)
- Interest in contracts, compliance, and risk-related work
- Strong time management and follow-through
