We hire law students and recent graduates as law clerks in our firm, Law Offices of Guvenc Acarkan, Esq.: This position provides meaningful exposure to real cases and litigation writing, have real world experience in participating in drafting pleadings, motion practice documents, and an opportunity to build practical skills under close supervision.
For full-time students we offer part-time positions, but for evening students and graduates who able to work full-time we offer full-time positions as well. Our firm is a boutique litigation practice providing top-tier service in complex commercial disputes and high-conflict family law matters.
We are located in Jersey City, New Jersey, steps from the PATH and Light Rail stations along the Hudson River in the heart of Exchange Place. The role includes legal research, drafting memoranda, assisting with motions and pleadings, reviewing case files, and organizing exhibits and evidence for ongoing matters.
The law clerk will work directly with the attorney on civil and commercial litigation in state and federal courts, helping analyze statutes, case law, and procedural rules while preparing clear and concise written work product. The firm values strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality legal writing. Candidates should be able to manage multiple assignments, think critically, and communicate effectively.
